My Personal Narrative

I have experienced and grown so much throughout my years on The Muse. With this, I have not only matured, but I have also created many friendships and relationships. However, the Muse takes up a bunch of time. It's all worth it in the end.

As a senior on the Muse and content team editor, I have been able to experience such a fantastic team. Becoming an editor means being strict and learning new tips and tricks. With this, I had to learn how to understand and comprehend what a person needs to be successful. Through support and care, I have created new friendships in my team and get along with them very well. Becoming an editor also meant becoming a leader. I have to lead my team in the right direction, hoping they will grow. I hope to inspire my team to become Future Leaders and editors worldwide.

As an editor, I have been able to implement new ideas to help improve the publication. With editing, I have been able to learn what it was like to be in control and to enforce my thoughts. My most important goal was to ensure a safe and happy environment.

Though I became an editor, I faced many challenges along the way. However, these setbacks were only minor Because they made me into who I am today. I was able to build my way up and work hard.

I have grown tremendously over the past two years due to much help. I want to help my new staffers do their best to the best of their ability. I want to ensure they feel comfortable and happy when entering the classroom.  Being on a publication has taught me that we get through everything and work together to accomplish writing, captions, designs, and so much more. Writing was never my go-to subject, but joining a publication made me realize the opposite. I love to write, even if it is just a little caption.
