As a first-time editor on The Muse, being a Content Team Editor does come with a lot of challenges. Being a leader means understanding and comprehending your staff. You must get along with them to lead. As an editor of a team, I have an approach that helps me and my staffers get along.

Example:

After a cycle or quarter ends, I give them a Google form to fill out (anonymously or not) to give me feedback. At the end of the day, I am also a human, and I make mistakes. I love getting feedback to help me, as an editor, to give the best possible outcome and support to my staffers/team.

Being an Editor comes with a lot of perks and responsibilities. You are responsible for a whole team to meet their deadlines. However, I love to take on the challenge, which helped me become closer to my team. With my leadership skills, I support and appreciate each of my staffers to help them become the best!
